<p>The invention relates to a data transmission installation intended to facilitate and accelerate the manufacture of spectacle glasses. This installation is formed from apparatuses including at least one module forming a master assembly (A) comprising a first apparatus for centring blanks and for setting adaptors possessing means of capturing data and which is associated with a frame copier, and several slave modules (B1, B2, ...) connected to the said module (A) and each comprising another apparatus for centring blanks and for setting adaptors, and which may or may not be provided with means of capturing data, and associated with a grinder, a controlling computer (C) being able to be connected to the module (A).
