PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding method for welding two adjacent metal elements of a stator coil with a rigid rod for electric machine which is easily implemented, inexpensive, efficient and prompt.SOLUTION: Two metal elements (10; 18; 28; 30; 32; 34) are disposed in the vicinity of each other in such a manner that the two metal elements are positioned on the same plane, and comprise top faces (43) including at least one edge (44). A first laser beam (38) to be supplied along a first welding line (45) that is orthogonal to the common edge (44) and extends through the common edge itself, in a direction of the top faces of the two metal elements is focused, and a second laser beam to be supplied along a second welding line (47) that is orthogonal to the common edge, extends through the common edge itself, is in parallel with the first line and separated therefrom and has a length which is smaller than a length of the first line, is then focused continuously.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 19 |
