<p>The invention relates to a thin-film cathodoluminescent screen for a high-luminance cathode ray tube, and relates in particular to means of improving luminance and resolution. The cathodoluminescent screen (10) of the invention includes a substrate (12) which has a thin luminescent film (14) on top of which is placed a film (16) which reflects the light produced by the thin luminescent film (14). According to one characteristic of the invention, a single compact luminophore grain (L1 to Ln) diffusing layer (15) is arranged between the thin luminescent film (14) and the reflecting film (16), so as to avoid total reflections of light from the side of an upper face (17) of the thin film (14) located opposite the substrate (12).</p> |
