PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical transmission body array, capable of suppressing the occurrence of a hollow between first and second substrates and an optical transmission body in the optical transmission body array having a plurality of optical transmission bodies arranged in parallel between the first and second substrates.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an optical transmission body array having a plurality of columnar optical transmission bodies arranged in parallel between first and second substrates comprises: applying a first adhesive to the surface of the first substrate; bringing the optical transmission bodies arranged in parallel into contact therewith to bond the optical transmission bodies to the first substrate; applying a second adhesive having a plurality of band shapes arranged in parallel on the surface of the second substrate; bringing the optical transmission bodies bonded to the first substrate into contact with the second adhesive applied to the second substrate; and bonding the first substrate, the optical transmission bodies and the second substrate. The second adhesive is applied in a plurality of band shapes, and each band of the second adhesive has a shape having a width continuously decreased in the cross section and has 0.8 mm or more and 2.0 mm or less of the maximum width and 100 μm or more and 250 μm or less of a height of the cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
