A method of and a device for filling containers with liquid, in particular with a liquid under high pressure, is described. The device has at least one liquid reservoir (1), container carriers moving successive containers (2) along a preset container path (A-D), and filling heads (6) guided along a movement path corresponding at least in certain sections to the preset container path. The filling heads are mountable, in each case by means of centering members, sealingly onto successive containers (2) to be filled and have means for introducing the liquid contained in the liquid reservoir into the containers. Additional container-processing devices, such as for example labelling devices (9, 11) or printing devices, are arranged along the container path (A-B-C-D).
