The present invention provides a heat transfer pipe comprising a metallic pipe body (3) and at least one metallic wire fin (4) continuously extending longitudinally of the pipe body. The wire fin is waved to have alternate crests (5) and furrows (6), and attached to the outer surface of the pipe body at the furrows by application of supersonic vibration.
