FIELD: veterinary science.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary epizootiology, particularly to a method for prediction of ruminant animals fascioliasis. Method involves examination of pastures. In the pasture grass stand the percentage content of plants with various degrees of larva-trematocide activity is determined, and if the content of plants with zero/low degree of larva-trematocide activity in the grass stand is overwhelming, high degree of risk and morbidity of animals with fascioliasis is predicted. Degree of larva-trematocide activity is estimated by presence in the chemical composition of a plant of substances from a group consisting of phenol-carboxylic acids, higher fatty acids and ascorbic acid (main active substances) and a group consisting of aromatic carboxylic, lipid, triterpenoid, sesquiterpenoid, nitrogen-containing, organic acids, amino acids and tanning substances (auxiliary active substances). If a plant contains 3 classes of the main and 4-5 classes of auxiliary active substances the degree of larva-trematocide activity is considered to be high, 2-3 classes of the main and 2-3 classes of auxiliary active substances - average, 0-1 class of the main and 0-2 classes of auxiliary active substances - zero/low.EFFECT: invention usage allows to optimize preventive and anti-epizootic measures.1 cl, 5 tbl, 2 ex |
