<p>The indicator is intended for use with an opaque vase filled with cut flowers. One end of an inverted U-shaped tube (3,4,5) is submerged in the water inside the container while the other end forms a vertical 'sight-glass' tube (2), the end (6) of which is open to the air. When not in use, the open end can be sealed with a cap (7). The water level is indicated by a float (8). The float is prevented from leaving the vertical section (2) by a pinch (9). When the indicator is first put into place, water can be drawn from the vase into the sight glass in a number of ways: by a tightly fitting internal (10) or external (11) pump rod (10) or by a flexible 'squeeze' bulb (12). @(8pp DWg.No.1/4)@.</p> |
