Flexible coupling for motor vehicle transmission - has elastic disc with vulcanised bushes which have serrated end faces

Two shafts(1, 2) forming part of the transmission of a motor vehicle are connected by a flexible coupling. The coupling consists of a disc (3) of elastic material in which two bushes (9) are fastened by vulcanisation. Each bush receives a bolt (4, 5) to fasten the disc (2) to a flange (7, 14) of one or other of the shafts. Each bush has serrations formed on one end face. These serrations engage matching serrations on the face of the abutting flange. The bush is thus prevented from rotating relative to the flange. USE - Motor vehicle transmission systems.
