<p>In a pin bar, to remove impurities deposited in the free passages (F) between the pin points (4) there are air ducts (11) which can be connected via an air chamber (15) to a compressed-air source or to a vacuum source. Where stamped and embossed pins (1) are concerned, the air ducts (11) are preferably formed by extending the embossing (10) into the region between the cover plates (2, 3). In the cleaning process according to the invention, compressed air is fed to the region of the points, preferably in pulses, for cleaning purposes.</p> |
