WRITE-ERROR DETECTING CIRCUITRY OF ODD AND METHOD THEREOF

The circuit detects the write error as soon as the data is written. The circuit writes the data on the worm type optical disk and reads the data simultaneously to analyze the small signal generated at the boundary of the pit and the disk so that the write error is detected. The circuit includes a pulse clipper (10) for clipping the readed signal by a certain level, a DC component filter (20) for filtering out the DC component of the output signal of the clipper and the low frequency noise, an amplifier (30) for eliminating the high frequency of the output signal of the DC filter and for amplifying the signal, a comparator (40) for generating a first boundary signal when the field boundary signal is received and for holding a second state otherwise, a delayer (50) for delaying the write pulse for a certain time.
