The invention consists of a grinding machine for rotation pieces with the option for axial oscillation of the grinding wheel.In the invention version, the machine is made up of a frame on which the unit comprising the table with the fast and loose headstock slides, and the transverse frame on which the wheel head with the option for axial oscillation slides. A shaft with a hand lever is mounted in the wheel head. By pressing and turning the hand lever and by means of a gear rack, the wheel head is positioned in relation with the work piece. A bored spindle covers the shaft enabling, by means of rocking lever and a boxed catch, the rotation of the wheel head to position it as to the axis of the piece. The wheel head is also equipped with a rocking unit consisting of an adjusting sleeve mounted on a cam gear; thus, the rotation of the cam gear is converted into the axial oscillation of the wheel shaft.
