Mixts. (I) comprising (A) 89.9-20% (all pts. wt.) polyarylene sulphide (B) 0.1-35, partic 0.2-5,% quinhydrone of formula (I) R1-R8 (same or different) = H, 1-22C alkyl, 5-12C cycloalkyl, 7-22C aralkyl or alkaryl, or 6-12C aryl, where 2 adjacent gps. can be members of a 5-12 membered ring (C) 10-79.9% glass fibres, and opt. (D) other mineral or organic fillers and reinforcing agents and/or inorganic or organic auxiliaries are claimed. Pref (A) is polyphenylene sulphide (II), (B) is quinhydrone itself (III). USE/ADVANTAGE - Prepn. of shaped articles (including fibres, films, profiles) and circuit boards (claimed), (I) have good mechanical properties and favourable flowability.
