A condensing tower (27) receives the vapors from the chamber (16) and including a first stage (35) and at least one second stage (37). A plurality of walls (122, 126, 150, 154) included in each of the first stage (35) and the second stage (37) of the tower (27) direct the vapors along a torturous path including at least one reversal of direction in each of the stages. A coolant (194) is provided to cool the second stage (37) of the tower (27) but not the first stage (35) in order to facilitate condensation of the vapors in the second stage (37) but not the first stage (35) of the tower (27). The coolant (194) may include water in order to facilitate the processing of aqueous solutions.
