The dental handpiece, for laser beam dental treatment, has an optical fibre cable (2) supplying a laser light beam coupled to a light conductor treatment section (7) via an optical lens (8). The light conductor treatment section is interchangeable according to the required treatment, each treatment section having a different dia., with corresp. adjustment of the lens position. The lens is contained within a sleeve (9) which can slide axially within the dental handpiece (1) via a radial pin (10), a pivoted operating element (12) with a helical guide channel receiving the pin.
