An arrangement is proposed for supplying energy to a load (1) having a low-pass frequency characteristic. A binary signal (Vld; Vlb) having a low-frequency component (Hld; Hlb) and a strong high-frequency component (Hhd; Hhb) having a predetermined frequency (l/2 tau ; l/8 tau ) is then applied to a rejection filter (3) adjusted to the predetermined frequency (l/2 tau , l/8 tau ). The rejection filter (3) is of a type producing a ternary output signal. The load (1) is supplied by means of a control circuit (4) in such a way that in response to the signal level at the output of the rejection filter (3) the load (1) is supplied with a positive polarity, is supplied with a negative polarity or the energy supply to of the load (1) is interrupted. In this manner energy supply is obtained in which dissipation in the control circuit (4) and load (1) is small.
