Joint of the type comprising a block of resilient material (3) adhesively bonded between two tubular armatures (1, 2) which are coaxial at rest and can be caused to pivot with respect to each other about their axis, the said block of resilient material (3) then being subjected to a shearing under torsion, this block furthermore undergoing, at its periphery, variations in cross-section so as to have unequal stiffnesses in compression in at least two different radial directions, characterised in that the said variations in cross-section are progressive, thus resulting in a thickness of resilient material (3) - measured in directions parallel to the said axis - which can vary progressively between peaks (12) and troughs (13), without any break. …<IMAGE>… |
