"Method and device for controlling the thickness of an electrodeposited coating on a metallic plate or sheet" A method and device for controlling the thickness of a coating electrodeposited in an electrolytic plating bath ( 14) onto at least one side (1, 2) of a metallic plate or sheet (3) forming a cathode and travelling in a predetermined direction between at least two anodes (5, 6) having each a surface (7, 8) which extends at a substantially constant distance from the plate (3), the surface of an anode situated on one side of the plate (3) being at least partially opposite to the surface of an anode situated on the other side, which anodes (5, 6) are maintained substantially at a same potential and the active area of the suface (7, 8) of at least one anode on the concerned side of the plate (3) is adjusted in said predetermined direction according to the desired coating thickness.
