A method for recovering utilizable gas from garbage by pyrolysis, wherein precomminuted garbage is processed into fluff material, granules, or pellets, and is then introduced into a degasifying drum in which low temperature carbonization gas is produced and is separated from the residual material. The gas is broken down in a gas converter into combustion gas which is cleaned in a subsequent gas washing installation with circulating wash water. Some of the circulating wash water in the gas washing installation is removed in order to limit the concentration of pollutants and is replaced with fresh water. The pyrolysis residue to be removed from the low temperature carbonization drum is discharged through a water bath. At least a part of the fluid removed from the circulating wash water in the gas washing installation is introduced into the water bath.
|
