The plant consists of at least one lime storage container of the silo-type, connected to a device for feed-out of lime into the watercourse. The feed-out device is driven by a waterwheel of the blade type, directly affected by the water current, and thereby varying the issue of lime proportionally to the flow. The blade wheel is supported by a float in the watercourse being fitted on an arm pivotable in a vertical plane. The drive mechanism includes a transmission arrangement with variable gearing, e.g. in the form of at least one variable wedge belt plate, in which the gearing ratio is controlled by the level in the watercourse, so that rising or falling water level brings about rising or falling gearing ratio, and thereby rising and falling speed in the feed-out device. |
