The invention relates to a method for the augmented enrichment of phosphorous or phosphates from sewage sludge comprising thick matter from wastewater, a biological phosphate enrichment occurring in the sewage sludge ex-situ of the wastewater flow while the sewage sludge is being dewatered and stabilised. The invention also relates to active process control for achieving augmented phosphorous enrichment in the sludge retained in the separator. |
