<p>A motor-compressor unit (1), in particular for a refrigerator, comprises a cylinder head (10) fixed onto a cylinder body (5), between said cylinder head (10) and body (5) there being interposed a plate (11) with which usual valves (14, 15) are associated, acting on an intake port (12) and a delivery port (13). According to the invention, the cylinder head (10) is formed of at least two mutually coupled hollow portions (21, 22), at least one of said portions (22) being constructed of a material of low thermal conductivity. The two portions (21, 22) of the cylinder head (10) are physically separated from each other.
