Roof cleat for a passenger car having a flat friction protective surface (14) extending on the underside over the entire length and in the transverse direction at the front end a thicker, relatively soft seal (16). The protective surface and the seal are made of the same plastic material and both are joined to the metallic main body (12) of the roof cleat (10), with the seal having a broad base (18) from which projects a narrow lip (20).
