A person who has suffered an arm or hand injury, which requires the injured arm or hand to be encased in plaster, has great difficulty in using the injured arm or hand. This difficulty is reduced by attaching a fork or spoon to the plaster by means of a strap (6) which is secured by a Velcro-type fastener. The strap (6) has an attached block with a tapped hole for a screw (10). The screw passes through a hole in the handle of the fork or spoon and so fastens it to the block. The tip of the handle abuts against a pad fixed to the plaster. USE/ADVANTAGE - Aid for a patient with hand encased in plaster. The device enables the patient to feed him or herself.
