The soln. (13) is heated by induction in a ferromagnetic vessel (11) standing on the non-magnetic coating (14) of a coil (9), in a container (1) at the top of a telescopic post (3) set up on a wheeled base (4). A temp. sensor (8) in the soln. (13) is wired to a plug (7) on the base (4). Current is switched to a control unit (10) via a twisted cable (5) within the post (3). ADVANTAGE - Substantially reduced thermal capacity leads to rapid heating and inertialess correction of liq. temp. fluctuations. Appts. remains cold, losing min. energy and safeguarding operator against burns.
