PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide to a communication carrier a home gateway which is owned by a line contractor who makes a contract of the line with the communication carrier, as an access point.SOLUTION: In a wireless LAN access point sharing system 1, a home gateway 2, when relaying the communication traffic of a wireless LAN and a wired LAN, relays communication traffic to an edge node 5, using a MAC address which identifies a terminal by a layer 2 function. Using the MAC address, the edge node 5 measures a communication amount of communication traffic for each terminal which is connected to the home gateway 2. This enables the measurement of a communication amount for each terminal in a distinguished manner of communication traffic for each terminal, irrespective of whether a terminal is a wired line contractor terminal 3b, a wireless line contractor terminal 3a or a wireless LAN access service contractor terminal 4, to provide to the communication carrier the home gateway 2 owned by the line contractor who makes the contract with the communication carrier, as the access point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
