The invention concerns a calibration procedure for a room without radio echo, and calibration equipment for implementing this procedure. In the present procedure, measurement of the radiation spectrum in the required frequency band is carried out in the radio-echo-free room 1 which is to be calibrated, whereby, for generating the radiation spectrum to be measured, calibration equipment 2 of known radiation spectrum is used, and the calibration information of the radio-echo-free room is calculated 4 on the basis of the difference between the radiation spectrum measured by calibration equipment 2, and its known radiation spectrum. The procedure according to the invention is characterized in that the calibration equipment 2 generates a noise signal which essentially includes all frequencies of the required frequency band. <IMAGE>
