<p>A power supply system for discharge loads comprising a direct current source (11, 12, 13), inverter means (14) for converting the direct current supplied from the direct current source into an alternating current, current transformer means (15A, 15B, 15C) for transforming the alternating current derived from the inverter means at a predetermined level and delivering it to the discharge load (17A, 17B, 17C) and current control means (20, 21, 22, 23) for controlling the output current from the direct current source at a predetermined level. The discharge power is supplied not from the voltage source but from the current source through the current tranformer so that stabilized and well balanced discharge currents can be supplied to a plurality of discharge loads.</p> |
