Folding propeller for powered glider - has can and spring-loaded lever to hold propeller in folding position

The glider has a propeller with blades which can be folded when the glider is not in use. The blades must be brought to a defined angular position in order to be folded. The blades are brought to the required position by a cam (2) which is mounted on the propeller shaft. The cam (2) has a recess (3) which receives a roller (4) which is mounted on a lever (5). One end of the lever is attached to a tension spring (10) which exerts a force on the lever which holds the roller (4) in the recess (3). A cable (6) fastened to the other end of the lever enables a force to be applied to the lever (5) which overcomes the spring force and lifts the roller clear of the recess so that the propeller is free to rotate. ADVANTAGE - Has simple mechanism to hold propeller in folding position.
