An openable window panel 1 is designed to form part of a row of windows or a large glass surface which also comprises a number of fixed window panels 2, 3 with frames 4 which are interconnected by joining together adjacent frame pieces of neighbouring panels by means of connecting rails 10 designed for this. Surround and frame parts 12, 14; 11, 13; 26, 25 for the openable panel are formed by essentially L-shaped, mutually facing profiles with such a positioning of pane tracks in the frame pieces that the insulating pane 15 of the openable panel is, in the closed position of the panel, located essentially in the plane of the glass areas 6 of the surrounding fixed panels. The surround side pieces and a surround top piece are designed for direct interconnection with adjacent frame pieces 8 of fixed neighbouring panels 2, while a surround bottom piece is designed to form a frame piece for the glass area 29 in a fixed panel 3 below and comprises a duct 35 for draining away water to drainage ducts in the frame side pieces 8 of the panel below. <IMAGE>
