Preventing milk sample bottle spillage - during magazine filling in milk sample identification system

Preventing upset of sample bottles having metal bases, during filling of a circular magazine in a milk sample identification system, is claimed. The magazine has a bottle guide spiral located above a driven magnetic turntable. The novelty is that (a) the rotational direction of the turntable during magazine filling is initially reversed after entry of a sample bottle into the magzine until all the bottles in the magazine are shifted close together; and (b) the turntable direction is then reversed again before the next sample bottle is supplied to the magazine. USE/ADVANTAGE - Useful in milk collection vehicles for collecting samples from various milk prodn. sources. The method produces close packing of the sample bottles to prevent upsetting of the filled bottles.
