PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more promptly eliminate and suppress knocking.SOLUTION: A knocking suppression device includes: knocking detection means 22 for detecting knocking of an internal combustion engine 1; ignition timing control means 7 for controlling ignition timing of the internal combustion engine 1; and exhaust-gas-recirculation-amount control means 9 for controlling a recirculation amount of exhaust gas recirculating from an exhaust path 3 to an intake path 2 via an exhaust recirculation path 8. The knocking suppression device further includes control means for retarding the ignition timing from target ignition timing according to an operating state, and for increasing the exhaust gas recirculation amount from a target exhaust gas recirculation amount according to the operating condition if the knocking is still detected even when the ignition timing reaches a retard limit. |
