<p>Described is a pile-fabric floor-covering for sports surfaces, in particular synthetic-grass surfaces. The floor-covering has a substrate sheet which has apertures in it and is therefore permeable to water. Attached to the substrate by needling is a sheet of fibrous material. Also attached to the substrate are pile elements which form the pile. To extend the length of time the floor-covering can be played on after being dampened, the sheet of fibrous material is attached to the underside of the substrate, and tufts of fibres produced when the sheet of fibrous material is needled project up from the sheet of fibrous material through the substrate.</p> |
