Durable moulded (esp. platelike) construction parts consisting of the hydration prodn. of a cement(-like binder) and alkali-susceptible reinforcing materials esp. ligno-cellulases have a variable sufficiently low alkalic buffer capacity of max. 0.005 acidequivs./100g of construction material. The binder pref. consists of a mixt. of e.g. Portland and/or alumina- and/or belite-rich cement opt. with pozzolanic addns. e.g. amorphous nilicic acid, powdered trans and/or fly ash in a ratio that produces the required buffer capacity. The buffer capacity is achieved by adding acids to the mixt. Reinforcing materials include ligno-cellulose fibres and also a finely ground latent hydraulic component mixed with calcium sulphate and Portland cement.
