Process for the manufacture of a glycidyl ester from glycidol or derivative. This process consists in bringing glycidol and carboxylic acid into contact with a solid catalyst consisting of a macroporous strong anionic resin in OH<-> form so as to ensure the opening of the epoxy rings by the action of the OH<-> active sites of the resin and to give rise to an attack of the carboxylic acid by these epoxy rings, resulting in the binding of the said acid on the rings with release of the glycidyl ester and regeneration of the resin in OH<-> form.
