The tool comprises a sanding head having an outlet for discharging a liquid onto the work surface to be abraded and an inlet to enable the discharged liquid and abraded material to be removed from the work surface. The present invention enables the liquid to be discharged onto the work surface at the location at which the abrasive tool is in contact with and acting against that surface.
