Screening means (1) for a space (2) housing the filler pipe (3) of a vehicle of the type in which a door (4) having the shape (5) of an opening (7) for the space (2) is hinged by means of corresponding hinge means (8) to a supporting bracket (11) mounted on a side wall (12) of the space (2) are described. These hinge means (8) are such as to enable the door (4) to adopt selectively a first working position (13) in which it is flush with the opening (7), closing it off, and a second working position (14) in which the door (4) projects to one side of the space (2) to reveal filler pipe (3). Hinge means (8) comprise at least one pin (15) to connect door (4) rotatably about a predetermined axis to supporting bracket (11) and bistable elastic means (16) capable of locating door (4) in the second working position (14) with a corresponding angle of opening which is substantially greater than 90 DEG . <IMAGE>
