The image sensor realizes high resolution with the same sized pixel and reads signals without degnerating the S/N ratio. The compact type image sensor comprises the pixel part on the glass substrate (1), the photodiode formed with the amorphous silicon layer (3) and the transparent electrode (4), the window for absorbing light, the protection glass film (11) for contacting a roller (9) placed on the glass substrate and the passive layer (10) between the glass substrate and the protection glass film.
