The present invention relates to an electric power assistance-steering apparatus, and more specifically, to an electric power assistance-steering apparatus comprising a worm shaft, a first pinion shaft, a second pinion shaft and a rack bar and being able to be applied to a high output steering apparatus. The worm shaft is driven by a motor and has a worm formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof. The first pinion shaft is connected to a steering shaft, is coupled to a first worm wheel to be engaged with one side of the worm, and has a first pinion gear formed on an end thereof. The second pinion shaft is engaged with the other side of the worm to be coupled to a second worm wheel rotating in a direction opposite to the rotational direction of the first worm wheel and has a second pinion gear formed on an end thereof. The rack bar has a first rack gear formed on one side surface to allow the first pinion gear to be engaged and a second rack gear formed on the other side surface to allow a second pinion gear to be engaged and is coupled between the first pinion gear and the second pinion gear to be moved leftward and rightward as the first pinion gear and the second pinion gear are rotated. Damage to the worm wheel and the rack gear is prevented, and a steering force of the vehicle can be stably assisted. |
