SEATING FURNITURE IN PLASTIC MATERIAL, OF WHICH THE DECORATION OF THE BACKREST AND/OR SEATING ELEMENT CAN BE SELECTED. The seating furniture comprises a shell and at least one insert which are interconnected by assembly means. According to the invention, the insert is flexible and comprises along two opposite edges, fitting means for fitting the insert in a substantially perpendicular direction, which means are opposite and designed to cooperate with conjugated means molded on the shell, fitting of the insert then consisting in engaging its first fitting means into the conjugated one of the shell, in arching the insert so as to present its second fitting means opposite the conjugated one of the shell and in releasing the insert so that, by an elastic return motion, the second fitting means also come into engagement.
