<p>A star coupler assembly includes an optical star coupler (1) from which extend optical cables (A1 to D3) and a housing (16) having a central grove (24) accommodating the coupler (1). The optical cables (A1 to D3) are accommodated in a series of communicating groves of the housing (16) and are held down therein by means of cable clips (21,23). The cables (A1 to D3) are led from the groves, between posts (90, 96) so that their end portions project through bores (1', 14') in side walls (28,30) of the housing (16), whereby the end portions of the cables project from the housing side walls for connection to light transmitting or light sensitive devices at a site of use. <IMAGE></p> |
