A plastic in the fluid state is injected into a flexible closed mould (2, 3) comprising a moulding cavity (6) into which the edge of the window (5) is placed. The plastic is injected into the cavity (6) of the mould in the inert state and then activated by high-frequency electromagnetic radiation or by microwave radiation. An insert (22) is put into place in the cavity (6) of the mould before the injection of the plastic. The injection and the subsequent curing of the plastic are carried out within the cavity of the mould (6) in which are disposed, during these operations, the edge (5a) of the window (5) and the insert (22) in their final relative positions on the window in the processed shape. The invention may be used for producing windows for a motor vehicle, comprising inserts constituted by trim strips of decorative purpose or elements having a functional purpose such as conduits, cables or fixing screws.
