A device forms a closed unit and has a measurement member (11), a support table with a conveyor band (13) and a carriage (14) mobile in the direction of the longitudinal axis with a tool which works transversely to the direction of passage, shaped as a belt grinding unity (15) with grinding pad (17) or another tool used with flexible grinding means, brushes, nonwoven materials, etc. Combined with a conventional system (41) which works in the direction of passage, this device allows mutually transversal and interconnected individual parts of a workpiece, for example a frame, to be ground, brushed, etc. in a single passage in their own respective longitudinal directions. Another use of the device consists in grinding, brushing etc. inner profiles (such as rebates) of a frame in a single passage.
