The sealing ring engages positively with the pipe at the outlet, being thus held in the central position. It can fit round the inside of the outlet, and internally it can taper towards the shaft. Its shaft end can be formed by a centring slip ring (14). Internally the cross-section of the latter and of the sealing ring can be larger than that of the opening in the shaft. ADVANTAGE - Has a simple construction and improved sealing. Does not allow for calcium build up between the slip and sealing rings.
