A method for manufacturing pills and tablets containing extracts from medical plants whereby powdered medical substances and filling, binding and lubricating agents are mixed and subsequently granulated, dried and formed into pills and tablets, characterized in that prior to granulation, the mixture of substances is treated with a solution containing artichoke extract with a moisture content of 20-25% by weight and a solution of another known binding substance, employed in an amount of 10-30% by weight in proportion to the mass of the substances.
