One hand cleaning appliance (6, 7) at least is connected to the water supply, and a holder (14, 15) is provided for each appliance. A coin or token operated control unit (5) and the hand appliance(s) are fixed to at least one pillar (2). A horizontally aligned carrier (13) is securely fixed with the pillar (2) supporting the control unit (5), on which the control unit is fitted. The carrier (13) is designed as a cantilever support fixed at one end to the pillar (2). ADVANTAGE - Prodn. and assembly costs of installation are reduced. Fixing of control unit and appliances is simplified and sealing and contamination problems are eliminated as far as possible.
