A wedge or impact dowel of stainless steel operates via a bolt or similar expanding a dowel sleeve. During this process two wedge or conical surfaces are forced against each other. These pressure faces are coated to act against blocking. At least one of these pressure faces (7,18) is coated by galvanising or by riveting. USE/ADVANTAGE - Wedge or impact dowel is cost effective, easy to use, with reliable avoidance of blocking, and friction values avoid too high pretension.
