A rotary temperature control device (10) which includes a vent pulley (20), a control pulley (54) having a bevel gear (52) associated therewith, a flexible cable (34) which extends from the control pulley (54) to the vent pulley (20) and a shaft (64) having a pinion gear (66) associated therewith for driving the bevel gear (52), thus providing rotational movement to the vent pulley (20). The cable (34) preferably has first (40) and second ends and an intermediate portion (43) therebetween which defines first and second segments, wherein the first (40) and second (41) ends are secured to the vent pulley (20) while the intermediate portion (43) is secured to the control pulley (54).
