<p>A device automatically ensures the disengagement of an electrical plug (1) from a corresponding socket (100) when a force applied to them or to one of the elements, for example the cable (90), exceeds a given minimum value. It comprises an element (50) which can move between two positions: in the first position, the element (50) and, more particularly, a catch (62), keeps the actuation (drive) element (30) and the thrust members (70) associated therewith in opposition to the action of elastic means (42); in the second position, it releases the actuation element under the action of the said elastic means (42) which then provide a relative displacement between the plug (1) and the socket (100) in order to unmate them.
