An air filter bag is fabricated of a non-woven fibre (6) that is held in position by a two-part plastic profile. Each half of the profile has an essentially E-shaped cross section whose three tips terminate in interlocking barbs. The barbs form V-shaped passages (7) gripping the fleece. The plastic profile walls are of variable thickness.
